One of the most interesting games of round 19 was a derby match between two teams from Holland. Seventh rankedLeeuwarden outleveled visiting Den Helder (5-14) 95-70 . Leeuwarden players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Den Helder 's players. It was a great evening for American guard Devin Whitfield (196-1998, college: LMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Matt Frierson (188-1997, college: Citadel) helped adding 21 points and 4 assists. Four Leeuwarden players scored in double figures. Leeuwarden's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American-Nigerian guard Tobi Ewuosho (196-1997, college: Alabama St.) responded with 21 points and American point guard TreVion Crews (183-1996, college: Bethel, IN) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Leeuwarden (11-7) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Leuven and Brussels. Den Helder lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 14 games lost.
